So why is it pink?
Because of what's in it, not what's been added. The rose tint comes largely from vitamin B12, which is naturally deep pink. The shimmer is a mineral pearl, not glitter, so you can see exactly where you've applied it and the moment it's dry.

The 7am face is a different face
I've got a newborn so "eight hours sleep" is a fantasy. This is the closest I get to faking it. I put it on at 10, peel it off at 6, and my face doesn't look like it's been through a war. Nothing else in my routine has made that kind of difference to how I look on no sleep.
Finally, a mask that isn't wasted on my pillowcase
I used to slather on an expensive sleeping cream and find half of it on the pillow in the morning. This actually stays where you put it. That alone justifies it — I'm getting the full product instead of a third of it.
Peeling it off is genuinely the highlight of my morning
Yes I know how that sounds. It comes off in one piece if you start at the jaw and go slowly. Deeply satisfying. And underneath, skin is soft in a way that a normal moisturiser has never got it. My husband asked if I'd had a facial.

Office air con was wrecking my skin. This stopped it.
I sit under an air conditioning vent all day and my cheeks had gone tight and flaky with it — the kind of dehydrated where more moisturiser just sits on top and does nothing. Started using this four nights a week. Within about ten days the flaking had stopped completely and I was waking up comfortable instead of stripped. The film really does stop everything evaporating overnight — you can feel the difference the second you peel it off.

Shift worker. This is the only thing that fixes my face.
I do nights three times a week and my skin has always paid for it — grey, puffy, flat. I now put this on before I sleep during the day, blackout blinds down, and take it off before my shift. Takes practice — night one I put it on far too thick
Being honest so others don't repeat my mistake: the first night I applied it like a clay mask and it took nearly 40 minutes to dry. Thin and even is the whole trick. Once I got that right it's dry in about 12 minutes and peels off in one piece. Five stars for the product, four for the learning curve — I've rounded up because the results are worth it.

Replaced three products in my night routine
Night cream, sleeping mask, and a hydrating essence — all sitting unused now. On the nights I use this I just cleanse, tone and go straight to it. Fewer steps, better skin. My bathroom shelf has never been so empty and my face has never looked better in the morning.

Bought it for the pink. Kept it for the mornings.
Completely shallow reason for buying it, I'll admit. But the shimmer is genuinely useful — you can see exactly where you've applied and where you've missed, which you can't with clear gels. And three weeks later my skin tone is noticeably more even. So the pink turned out to be the least interesting thing about it.

The night-before-a-wedding product
Used it the night before my sister's wedding and my makeup artist asked what I'd done differently. Do I have to wash it off in the morning?
No. Once dry it becomes a single flexible film: lift an edge near your jaw, pull slowly and it comes away in one piece with no residue, so you can go straight into SPF. Rinsing with warm water works too.
Where does it go in my routine?
Dead last. Cleanse, tone, serum, moisturiser, then this over the top of all of it. It's a seal, not a competitor: anything underneath gets held against your skin instead of evaporating.
How do I know it's dry enough to sleep?
Touch it. Fully dry means completely matte with nothing transferring to your fingertip, usually around 15 minutes. A thick layer or a humid bathroom takes longer, so apply thinly and evenly.
Won't a film stop my skin breathing?
It's designed to sit comfortably for a full night and flexes when you talk, smile and roll over. Slowing water loss overnight is the point. If your skin is congested or acne-prone, start with two nights a week.
How often should I use it?
Three to four nights a week suits most people, nightly in winter or air-conditioning. At three nights a week, one 75 ml tube lasts about two months.
Can I use it with retinol or acids?
Give them separate nights. A film increases how much of what's underneath gets absorbed, which is great for hydrators and too much for strong retinoids or acids. Save the mask for recovery nights.
My skin is sensitive. Is it safe?
It contains allantoin to keep skin comfortable, and the only fragrance is genuine Rosa damascena flower oil. Rose oil is still a botanical, so patch test on your inner arm for two nights if you're reactive, and don't use it on broken skin, sunburn or straight after exfoliating.
Can I put it on my eyes and lips?
No. Keep a few millimetres clear of the eye area, lips, brows and hairline so the edge peels off cleanly.
